Dr. Madison J. Foster, a local physician in Monroe, made contact with Brothers Alfred Twymon and Eugene Davis, both of whom were charter members of Gamma Gamma Chapter (Grambling State University) and Brother Preston Anderson of Beta Sigma Chapter (Southern University).
Together, Brothers Foster, Twymon, Davis, Anderson and Brother O. McCoy, 9th District Representative, began the process that led to the establishment of the Mu Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity in Monroe, LA. Through their diligence and perseverance, the charter for Mu Tau Chapter was issued in November of 1959
The following Brothers became charter members of Mu Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity:
