NINTH DISTRICT TALENT HUNT - overview

The Talent Hunt idea has become one of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity's international projects, with all Chapters (graduate and undergraduate) mandated to conduct an annual Talent Hunt program. On the local and district levels, the programs are competitive. Meaning that contestants may have the opportunity to compete for prizes or scholarships. At the international level, the program is viewed as demonstration only. The international program showcases District winners who, by their talent, diligence, ability, and potential, appear as guests of the Fraternity.

At this stage of our growth, winners of our District Talent Hunt progrma, may have the opportunity to perfrom demonstrations along these lines:

     A. At the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Grand Conclavew in the respective years whereby the Conclave is held

     B. At the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., International Leadership Conference in the respective years whereby the International Leadership Conference is held.

Currently, contestants for Talent Hunt competition at the District level are made up of contestants representing each of the State Representative areas. Only 1 contestant is allowed per State Representative. Area competition can take place to determine which contestants represent which area. individual State Representatives, along with local Talent Hunt chairmen and Chapters can determine the method for selecting the contestant to represent their area. Expenses to be incurred for contestants representing each area are to be the responsibility of the respective State Representative and or local Chapter.
